Destinations: Kathmandu - Landrung - Jhinudanda - Dhoban - Machhapuchhre Base Camp - Annapurna Base Camp - Dhoban - Chomorong - Tadapani - Ghorepani - Poon Hill - Hille Camp - Naya pul - Pokhara

Day 01: Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara. Proceed to Dhampus. Camp. In Dhampus, the villagers started building lodges from where good view of mountains could be seen. That is the reason why the thick forests with abundant wildlife and natural vegetation was slowly transformed to a site of lodges and houses. Today, these lodge owners are among the wealthiest villagers and have high status in the village.

Day 02: Trek to Landrung. Camp.The Annapurna range and Fish tail denominates the mountain view through the glimpses further East to Lamjung Himal and the Manaslu range can be viewed as well. After the lunch, We descend down to the Modi Khola (River) & cross it. Then we climb up to Landrung village for the over night camping Landrung is a small village with good views of Mt. Annapurna south, Fish tail & Himchuli.

Travel to Nepal

Day 03: Trek to Jhinudanda. Camp. Trek from Pothana to Jhinudanda (Hot spring) (1800m.) and it takes about five hours. While trekking from Pothana to Jhinudanda the trail ascends gently to Deurali and begins to descend up to Bherikharka through forests. Now you follow flat path till you reach Landruk village. The path you follow till Landruk is really exhilarating as you pass through many local villages rich in culture, terrace fields and numerous green hills. From here the trail descends to Modi khola (stream) and ascends gently all the way to Jhinudanda.

Day 04: Trek to Dhoban. Camp. Continuing down the warm Bhote Kosi valley we reach the Hindu village of Suri Dhoban (3400 feet). A half-day rest here will allow us to escape the heat to be found at this lower elevation by taking a swim in the pleasant clean waters of the Khare Khola. From Suri Dhoban we trek for three days to the end of the trek at Jiri. First, we must climb our of the heat of the Bhote Kosi valley passing many small villages and finally crossing a ridge at about 9200 feet.

Day 05: Trek to Machhapuchhre Base Camp. Mount Machhapuchhre is incomparable, thanks to its fish-tailed pinnacle. This features makes it one of the most renowned mountains in Nepal Himalayan range. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the snow-blanketed, needle-pointed mountain is a visual feast, to be least said. Mafestically protruding out in the skyline, the view of the mountain provides wings to the thoughts of the poets. Climbing on the mountain has been restricted, for it is considered sacred by the locals.

Day 06: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp. The Annapurna region is Nepal's the most popular trekking destination with four of the world's highest mountains, and the world's deepest valley within it's boundaries. Gateway to the region is the lovely lakeside town of Pokhara, an idyllic place to relax after a long trek. Kali Gandaki river segregates Annarpurna mountain range from the great gorge that slices through the Himalayas. Range of Mount Annapurna holds huge glaciers on its slopes.

Day 07: Rest day at Annapurna Base Camp.

 

Day 08:Return to Dhoban. Camp.

 

Day 09: Trek to Chomorong. Camp. You can see the Magar village and trekkers may experience culture of that location.Next day they reach Ghorepani can see the Annapurna south, fish tail mountain. Next moring group treks towards pun hill and view Dhaulagiri I –V, Dhampus peak , Tukuche peak, Nilgiri peak, Hiuchuli peak and Annapurna South, Fishtail etc. Next day proceed towards Tadapani, Chomorong.

Day 10 : Trek to Tadapani. Camp. In October 2002, the new king dismissed the prime minister and his cabinet for "incompetence" after they dissolved the parliament and were subsequently unable to hold elections because of the ongoing insurgency. While stopping short of reestablishing parliament, the king in June 2004 reinstated the most recently elected prime minister who formed a four-party coalition government, which the king subsequently tasked with paving the way for elections to be held in spring of 2005.

Day 11: Trek to Ghorepani. Camp. A popular short trek passing through Gurung and Magar villages on trails used by local people and traders. From Ghorepani at 2800 mts, you have a spectacular panoramic view of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges that cover the entire skyline. Then you descend through rhododendron forests to the Gurung village of Ghandruk. Finally continue the route back to Pokhara on a ridge. The trails are broad and easy in most places.

Day 12: Morning excursion of Poon Hill for a second fabulous view of the Annapurna Range. Explore the Ghorepani village.

 

Day 13: Trek to Hille. Camp. From there, the trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hille at 1495m and after the short climb, we reach Tikhedhunga at 1570 meters. Today's walk offers a short and relatively easy day, during the journey which allows us to become used to the experience of trekking in Nepal.

Day 14: Trek to Naya pul. consisted again mostly of stairs, but this time downwards. murderous. When we finally reached Naya Pul, my knees where finished. We start at Naya Pul and follow the Jomsom trail north through Tikedhunga and Ghorapani to Tatopani, then we turn south to Beni. The highest point will be on Poon Hill (3210m) where we hope to make some nice pictures of the Himalayas. Proceed to Pokhara. O/nt at hotel in Pokhara.
