Day 01: Fly Kathmandu
Fly Kathmandu to Lhasa. Transfer to Tsetang. Later in the afternoon visit The Yambhulakhang, Tibet's first castle and Cha - Duk Monastery. O/nt at Hotel Tsetang. |

Day 02: Cross the Brahmaputra on a ferry to explore the SAMYE MONASTERY. As the beautiful capital city of Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR), Lhasa is situated in the South Central part of the region, on the North bank of the Kyichu River (Lhasa River) in a mountain-fringed valley. Generally the period from March to October is the best time to visit Tibet. Since Lhasa is located at such a high altitude it is wise to be prepared before starting your journey. Proceed to Lhasa for O/nt.

Day 03-04: Visit Potala & Norbulinka Palace, Drepung & Sera Monastery, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar. In the middle of the Potala Palace the Red Palace exists. Built in 1690 after the death of the Fifth Dailai Lama, the wall of the palace was painted to red, representing stateliness and power. The Red Palace is renowned for its religious status, gorgeous stupas and precious culture relics. O/nts at Hotel in Lhasa. |

Day 05: Drive to Gyantse via Lake Yamdrok - Tso enroute. Our first view of Gyantse was of the Dzong Fort at the crest of the hill approaching the city. At the other end of town, the walled Pelkor Chode, also built in the early fifteen century, once contained a number of monasteries from three different branches of Buddhism. Only one survived the Culltural Revolution, which is run by Gelugpa monks today. The most famous structure within its walls is the Kumbum Stupa, an octagonal five-story structure, signifying the five steps to enlightenment. O/nt at Hotel Gyantse. |

Day 06: Drive to Shigatse visiting Shalu Monastery enroute. The city is primarily noted for its Tashilhunpo Monastery, built in 1447, a historic and culturally important monastery. Situated on a hillside in the center of the city, the Tibetan name means "all fortune and happiness gathered here". O/nt at Hotel Shigatse. |

Day 08: Drive to Sakya. Explore the Sakya Monastery.Sakya Kloster is famed as the 'Second Dunhuang' due to its colossal collection of numerous Tibetan Buddhist scriptures, murals and Thangkas. According to statistics, about 40,000 volumes of scriptures are housed there. A wooden bookshelf which is about 57 meters (187 feet) long, 11 meters high (36 feet) and one meter wide (three feet) has 464 grids. O/nt at Guesthouse. |

Day 09: Drive to Tingri to view the Himalayas including Everest. Tingri Lankor (Ding ri glang 'khor) - Padampa's Residence was founded in 1097 CE by the South Indian Buddhist adept, Padampa Sange (d. 1117) who made five visits to Tibet and was an important person in the re-establishment of the Buddhadharma in Tibet. His consort was the famous Tibetan Kandroma Machik Labdron. O/nt at Guesthouse. |

Day 10: Drive to Zhangmu stopping at Nyalamu. Time permitting, visit the Milarepa's Cave. Zhangmu Town is a most welcome sight both for tourists and traders alike. Much is supposedly owed to nearby Mt. Everest, the highest peak in the world. Travelers come mainly for climbing up the lofty mountain, appreciating the heavenly sights, or pilgrimage at its holiness. However, for the particular location, Zhangmu Town itself can form an interesting array of scenery for the visitors. O/nt at Hotel Zhangmu. |
