India Bhutan and Nepal Tour Package

Duration: 14 Nights -15 Days

Destinations: Delhi - Agra - Paro - Thimphu - Kathmandu - Chitwan - Pokara - Nagarkot.

Delhi: Over the last seven years, Delhi has transformed itself from a staid political capital into the social and cultural centre of India. The glitterati throng to Delhi for fashion shows, celebrity book launches, rock shows and raves. Culture vultures know this is the place to catch the best dance, music and theatre. Swanky American-style shopping malls complete with eateries, bars and multiplex cinemas keep popping up everywhere.

Agra: Agra was possibly named for the Indian city where the Taj Mahal is located. There are other versions for the source of the name, however, one being that the town was named after the daughter of an official of the Rock Island Railroad, perhaps one of the daughters of President Low of the Chicago, Kansas and Nebraska Railroad that ran through the town at that time.

Paro: Small township of Paro with the only Bhutan's airport act for most tourists as gateway to the kingdom. Fortunately in the surroundings there are numerous and easy accessible places of interest. So even if you are coming for just one day on your route from Bangkok to Katmandu there is still enough to see. Along the main street you will find probably the best in country complex of traditional architecture: two lines of rich decorated buildings housing small shops, institutions and restaurants.

Thimphu: Thimpu perhaps the most unusual capital city in the world. Thimpu was established in 1955. On the bank of the river lies Tashi Chuu Dzong, the main secretariat building which houses the throne room of his majesty the king of Bhutan. The National Assembly Hall is located in new building on the opposite side of the river from the Dzong. During the warmer summer months, the monk body led by his holiness, the Je Khenpo, makes its home in the Dzong. Next to the Dzong is Bhutan's only golf course. A nine hole circuit, popular with Thimpu's residents, that offers a break from sight-seeing for visiting players.

Kathmandu: a fabled capital of convivial pilgrims and carved rose-brick temples, and a frenetic sprawl of modern towers, mobbed by beggars and monkeys and smothered in diesel fumes. In December and January, the views are crystal clear, but it can be chilly in the evenings: few of the cheaper hotels in Kathmandu have any heating and most travellers stay out in the warmth of Thamel's bars and restaurants until late and then rush home and dive under the blankets

Chitwan: you wanted to see birds and animals in Nepal, this is where you would come. For animal lovers, Chitwan national park offers them an opportunity of a life time to see Royal Bengal tigers, one-horned rhinos, various species of birds and butterflies. Your choice of Resorts and lodges are located in the region. Most include elephant safaris, jungle walks, canoeing and cultural activities.

Pokhara: Pokhara is situated at about 827 meter from sea level, and is located 124 miles (about 200 km) west of Kathmandu and can be reached by plane in 35 minutes or in 5 hours by bus. Pokhara is the next destination after Kathmandu for many adventure and pleasure trips in and around Pokhara. Pokhara is often called the enchanting Himalayan valley with a heart of major actions and adventures.

Nagarkot: Nagarkot is 32 kilometres east of Kathmandu, on the northeast edge of the Valley at an elevation of 2,175m. It is best to view the mountains in the early morning because it is more likely to be clear. There is a viewing tower next to the Club Himalaya Resort, where you get good views that has a coffee shop where you can sit inside. Many of the hotels also have good views.
