Duration: 10 Nights -11 Days

Destinations: Kathmandu - Bhaktapur - Bodhnath - Pashupatinath - Kathmandu Durbar Square - Swayambhunath - Royal Chitwan National Park - Lumbini - Kathmandu

Day 01: Fly to Kathmandu. You shall be met at the airport & transfer provided to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 02: Sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur, Bodhnath, Pashupatinath & the Kathmandu Durbar Square. The medieval city of Bhaktapur is known as the third city in the Kathmandu valley, after Kathmandu itself, and Patan. It is a half-hour taxi drive from downtown Kathmandu and a living gem of Hindu temples, pagodas, palaces and ancient monuments, some dating back to the 16th century. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Halfday sightseeing tour of Swayambhunath & Patan. Known as the 'monkey temple' because of its resident swarm of apes, this spectacular Buddhist Stupa, from which the Buddha's eyes gaze serenely down, lies on a hilltop only 2km from Kathmandu. The views down over Kathmandu and the surrounding valley are superb. O/nt at hotel.

Day 04: Early morning drive to the Royal Chitwan National Park. At the lodge, the Jungle Guide will brief you on Asia's biggest game reserve. O/nt at lodge. Jungle activities in Chitwan National Park. The park is specially renowned for the protection of the endangered one-horned rhinoceros, tiger, gharial crocodile along with many other common species of wild animals.

Day 05: Safari activities Include Elephant ride into the jungle for excellent game viewing, Jungle walk, Canoe ride. Later in the evening, Cultural dance will be performed by the local inhabitants- The Tharu's. O/nt lodge.

 

Day 06: Early morning Bird Watching tour. After breakfast, proceed to Lumbini - The birth place of Lord Buddha. The night He was to be conceived, Queen Mayadevi dreamt of a great white elephant entering her womb. The earth trembled six times. It is said that just like all the other bodhisattvas, he remained sitting cross-legged for the whole time in the womb. Furthermore, like all the other Buddhas, he was born under a tree in the forest, while His mother remained standing. O/nt at hotel.

Day 07: Full day excursion of Lumbini. Visit the sacred place where Princess Maya Devi gave birth to Lord Buddha and various monasteries. O/nt at hotel.

 

Day 08: Fly to Kathmandu. You will be transferred to Dhulikhel, a scenic village famous for it's views of the snow capped mountains. A remarkable legend speaks that the valley was once covered by a lake until the Bodhisattva Manjushri raised his sword of wisdom and sliced a passage through the mountain walls, draining the water and creating the first settlements. The valley embraces most of Nepal's ethinc groups, but Newars are the indigenous inhabitants and the creators of the valley's splendid civilization. O/nt at resort.

Day 09: View the sunrise and the himalayan ranges. Later in the afternoon, transfer to Kathmandu. The Annapurna range and Fish tail denominates the mountain view through the glimpses further East to Lamjung Himal and the Manaslu range can be viewed as well. After the lunch, We descend down to the Modi Khola (River) & cross it. O/nt at hotel.

Day 10 : Free day in Kathmandu for shopping and relaxation. O/nt at hotel.
